Young chefs roll up their sleeves and step into the kitchen in this hands-on cooking adventure! Chef’s Apprentice teaches kids essential culinary skills while building confidence, independence, and creativity in the kitchen.
In each class, students will prepare a
multi-step entrée—such as browning beef for a savory pasta dish, simmering homemade sauce, or perfectly cooking noodles—along with a
sweet dessert they’ll be proud to share. Participants will learn to safely and skillfully use real kitchen tools, including the
stove, oven, knives, and utensils, all under guided supervision.
Along the way, young cooks will practice:
- Kitchen safety and sanitation
- Proper knife handling and tool use
- Reading and following multi-step recipes
- Timing, teamwork, and organization
- Confidence in creating delicious food from scratch
