Fairborn Park Regulations


Fairborn’s park areas are intended for the recreation and enjoyment of all. Patrons are expected to refrain from behavior that affects the safety, peace, and good order of the parks and park visitors. Parks are open daily from dawn to dusk. Grounds and parking lots must be vacated when closed. There are minimal fees associated with facility usage for residents and non-residents. Please inquire with the Parks and Recreation Department for a complete list of fees and charges.

Park rules are as follows:
Park Rules (Ordinance 933):
  1. Structures, plants, and natural features may not be removed, damaged, or defaced.
  2. No littering or dumping. Picnic areas and shelters must be clean and orderly after use.
  3. Fires may be built only in grills or fireplaces, must be attended at all times, and must be extinguished prior to leaving. Please do not dump coals/ashes on the ground.
  4. Dogs and cats must be on a leash and attended. Clean up is the owner’s responsibility. Fairborn’s off-leash dog park is located at Sandhill Park.
  5. All paths, exercise equipment, and sport courts are to be used only as intended. Skateboards, bicycles, and in-line/roller skates are prohibited from these areas.
  6. Use of the pond for swimming, boating, or ice skating is prohibited.
  7. Motor vehicles must remain on designated roads or parking lots. No driving or parking on the grass and/or walking paths. No parking is permitted in the Service/Office driveway. Dirt bikes, mini-bikes, and ATVs are prohibited in all parks.
  8. All forms of alcohol and drugs are prohibited.
  9. No person shall bring/use in a park, or have possession, any fireworks/explosives.
  10. No person may hunt, trap, or endanger animals in any way.
  11. Sales or solicitations or placement of any signs within the parks requires permission from the City Manager.
  12. Those using the amphitheater must adhere to city noise ordinance. Shelter reservation is required for this type of activity. Contact the parks office to reserve the amphitheater or reserve online fairbornoh.gov.
  13. Sport courts/fields are available for reservation only through the parks office.
  14. Further restrictions may apply as set by the City &/or Parks & Recreation Director.
