Adopt-A-Park Program

The City of Fairborn’s Adopt-A-Park Program was established to help maintain its vast park system, encourage community engagement, and provide safe park spaces. The parks are used daily for various recreational programs and activities. Adopting a park helps the City to maintain a safe and enjoyable park space for all and promotes civic responsibility and community pride.
 
The program is open to any group/organization/citizen who is willing to commit to park upkeep. Program participants are required to visit the park at least 3 times within a service year.
 
Participant Responsibilities:
  • Pick up litter
  • Clean picnic tables and benches
  • Gather fallen branches and sticks
  • Tidy landscaped areas
  • Report unsafe conditions and structures
  • Report vandalism, damage, graffiti, and other issues
  • Other maintenance tasks can be completed with coordination from the Parks Department
  • Submit post-volunteer log of work completed
 
City Responsibilities:
  • Pick up collected litter
  • Recognize Adopt-A-Park participants through City sites, social media, and volunteer appreciation.
  • Install sign at park entrance acknowledging participant.
  • Provide garbage bags and other supplies as needed
